Hello again and thanks for stopping by! I am a big believer in connecting with people and getting to know each other as humans before we work together. So, I will start by sharing a little about myself, my career journey, and my personal story.
30+ Years of Medical Device & Healthcare Experience Marketing Experience
My professional career has spanned over 30 years and a range of roles in the medical device and healthcare industry. Early on I worked in small to mid-size MedTech companies in various sales, national accounts, reimbursement, marketing, and business development roles including two start-up companies in drug delivery technology. In 2005 I joined 3M Health Care in global marketing and spent nearly a decade managing product portfolios in Medical Diagnostics, Infection Prevention, and Oral Care. Following my time at 3M, I went to work for Align Technology where I managed software and digital treatment planning products within the Invisalign™ franchise. From 2017 to 2026 I worked in global marketing at Abbott including senior product management and group manager roles within Heart Failure and Cardiac Rhythm Management. I left Abbott in 2026 to start my own freelance consulting business.
Healthcare Marketing & Product Management Expertise
During my career in these global healthcare companies, I gained a wealth of experiences in upstream and downstream marketing product management, global portfolio management, and team leadership. Over the past decade I have also become an expert in the emerging field of connectivity and digital health and have managed multiple patient smartphone apps, remote monitoring software platforms and third-party data integration solutions.
Why I Became A Career Coach
I have benefited from the wise counsel and coaching support of managers and industry thought leaders throughout my own career. Early on, I successfully made the transition from sales operations roles to medical device marketing due to the support of savvy executive mentors. I now share my years of knowledge and wisdom through real world experience in leading global healthcare companies. On a personal level,
My wife Cathe and I met as college students at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. Our growing family now includes six amazing kids (three married with spouses), four adorable grandbabies, a German Shepherd named Lola and a cat named Luna. We live in South Minneapolis near Minnehaha Creek and the Chain of Lakes.
Outside of work I enjoy outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, and spending time “up north” at our lake cabin in the wilderness near Ely, Minnesota. I also love traveling, attending indie rock concerts, exploring local restaurants and breweries, and dabbling in gourmet cooking at home. Fun fact, I have completed two epic hiking adventures on the Camino de Santiago in Spain and Portugal!
